When poor little Munchy arrived at the shelter, he was in pretty bad shape. Someone had seen him on the road and picked him up. He is very thin and has some puncture wounds -- dog fight? He has been to the vet where it was determined that his nasal cavity had been punctured and he has some staples in his nose at the current time. He has another wound on his neck and some spots around is throat. He does not really eat like he is starving although he is in the 20s weight wise. He was neutered when he had the stitches done, and we thought he was just a puppy, so he was not heartworm tested, however after looking at his teeth, it appears he may be an adult.
So he wouldn't have to be outside in a kennel, he is sharing an inside/outside kennel with Aggie and Ginger who have given us their blessing to let him live there. He mostly stays on his bed and blanket (Ginger would insert here that it's really HER bed and blanket). He trembles and shakes, but is better. He likes to get out of the kennel and follow the workers around while his kennel is being cleaned.
He is a sweet little dog and wouldn't life be much grander for him in a home??
