Hi, my name is Pleasant, and I'm a handsome Grey tabby (short coat) guy kitty, about 3 1/2 years old. (That braggert Oxford claims he's been in the shelter the longest, but I'm the real Grayson veteran, because I came into the shelter in December, 2005, so I've been here for almost my whole life). Now, here's my pitch so listen up, please. Me and my pal Oxford are not what you'd call jump-in-your-lap and get all lovey-dovey type cats. We're guys who like to observe the passing scene and just hang out, you know what I mean? Its not that we're unfriendly or stand-offish, just not the cuddly types, kapish? I love the other cats, and me and my bud Ox are mentors to all the new one's coming into the shelter, and I love babysitting the kittens. I'm also a curious sort of cat and I love to do my "rounds" and check out everything new and interesting happening in the cat room. But here's the deal, sweet people, don't you think it was time I had a home of my own? I think I'd much prefer to come home with you and check out the scene at your place. What do you say? Come on, I'm a great listener too, so you can tell me all your troubles and I'll take your side every time. I'm neutered and had my shots too (I told you I'm a wise old boy).
