Hi, my name is Heckie, and I'm an (uncommonly) handsome male tabby (short coat). Grab your bag of popcorn and I'll tell you my story: When I came to the shelter, I was I guess you could say a little rough around the edges. I was a bit wild with all my, um, male parts. Now that I've been, um, altered, and had lots of good contact with the shelter volunteers, I'm pretty civilized and now destined to become an awesome animal companion for some lucky person. Could that lucky person be you? Hey, what the heck, you could do far worse than me. No, I'm not a cuddly little kitten but I'll be a quiet calm companion, and I'll listen attentively to all your bad jokes and gripes about the world. I'm a very big boy, and with my designer tabby stripes I'll blend in with all your furniture. If you give me a little affection and the odd treat, I'd even laugh at your jokes (if I could laugh, ha, ha). Pretty good story, huh? Have you finished that popcorn? Then tell the Grayson volunteers you have a home for the new (reinvented) , neutered and mellow Heckie (and right up-to-date on all my shots).

P.S. Heckie's still here and I'm a pretty sweet boy. I really charmed that funny old guy from Canada who came to visit, and I can charm you too, if you just give me a chance. Love ya! Heckie
