Description:
Hi, my name is Second, a male tabby kittycat (short coat), about seven years old. The volunteer (I call her "the angel of Second Street") saw me walking along the road like I was on a death march, and I really was on my last legs. I couldn't remember when I'd had my last meal and I thought, sheesh, starvation is a lousey way to go. (Those other second rate people out there couldn't spare me a second look or give me a second of their precious time). Well, angel lady scooped me up and took me home and really did give me a second chance. I got a square meal (and seconds), and went to the vet who told me "no more fasting for you, young man" (nice of him to call me a young man, because I am a borderline senior, ha, ha). I still look like a kitty anorexic but I'm gettin' stronger and lookin' better day-by-day. I really am a handsome boy and pretty affectionate too. Once I put on a pound or so, I'll get my neuter and some shots and I'll be ready for my second home (Grayson Humane being the first, though we do have limited time). Would you have a home for a sweet old boy like me? I really need you, you know, because Second doesn't deserve second best.
Update from old Mr. Second: Hey, things have been looking up for me. I have put on a pound or two, and I've had my neuter. I'm a happy boy and pretty healthy too! My foster mom wonders why I haven't found my retirement home yet, and so do I. Please make it your new year's resolution to adopt a senior (me)! Love and head butts, Second
